Population Figures
The Village of Marcellus has a population at present of less than 2,000 inhabitants and has experienced modified growth since 1950. There is limited space for residential development in the Village of Marcellus and little desire for annexation. The trend for Marcellus, as for most villages in Onondaga County is to develop planning programs to structure future development of land that already exists in the Village rather than annex more land into the corporation limits.
