It is the mission of this Code Enforcement Office to work in partnership with the people of the Village of Marcellus to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment.
Duties include:
Enforcement of the New York State
Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code:
Fire Inspections:
Enforcement of the Village of Marcellus Zoning Ordinance
* Regulation of land and building uses
Enforcement of additional regulations including:
Duties include:
Enforcement of the New York State
Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code:
- Review building permit applications
- Review building plans
- Issue building permits
- Perform building inspections
- Issue certificates of occupancy & compliance
Fire Inspections:
- All public assembly occupancies annually
- Apartments every 36 months
- All other business occupancies every 24 months

* Regulation of land and building uses
Enforcement of additional regulations including:
- Wetland Regulations
- Flood Plain Regulations
- Storm Water Management
- Local Laws including the Code of Ordinances
